We had enough free time at our hand. So we along with our college teachers, arranged a picnic. We selected the National Park at Gazipur for the picnic spot. It is a nice place about 50 kms from Dhaka. We have hired two buses on the fixed day and started for the spot at about 8 am. We had our breakfast in the bus at 9 am. We took all necessary utensils with us and experienced cook also. On the way we enjoyed much by making a lot of fun. We reached the spot at about 10:30 am. The cook and his helpers started cooking . Some of us started gossiping, some were singing and some others making jokes.

Wedding ceremony "Short composition"

In a marriage ceremony the bridal part is the most important part. A few days ago, my elder brother got married. I along with others to go to the party by cars. Everybody was in a mood of joy and happiness. Everybody puts on dazzling dresses specially the women. We had band parties with us also. There Was a gate at the entry of the community center. It was decorated gorgeously were illuminated with multi-colored electric bulbs. The girls of the bride’s house gave us a warm reception with flowers and sweets. But before that we had a sweet bargain for gate-fare which is a cultural heritage. We were entertained with dainty dishes of foods. In the meantime the weeding of the bridegroom and the bride was completed. Many young girls gathered round the bridegroom, cut jocks and burst into loud laughter. But on the eve of departure the parents and relatives of the bride burst into tears when they bade farewell. This was a heart rending scene. It was a very good experience for me. I will never forget the day.

Time Passing After HSC "Short composition"

Any examinee appearing at HSC examination gets enough time after the examination. During this period one can do a lot of things. But question arises how one should pass it making the proper use of time. I think it is regarded as the most valuable time in one's life specially in terms of getting admission into a renowned university. So, people who pass this period in vain, suffer in the long run of life. So, I have decided to utilize this time properly. After finishing my exam I will use the first week for relaxation. Because, it is a relief from the monotony of life. For this I want to go to my village and enjoy the natural beauty of the village. Besides enjoyment I can play some responsibilities there. For example, I along with other student of the locality will give them basis idea about rules of health, family planning, importance of education in our day to day life etc.

Past time "Paragraph"

Leisure is the sweetest moments when a man has no work to do, when  he is own master and can arrange his work at his own will. The young and the old are different in nature and temperament only because of the difference of ages. So, the leisure pursuits of the young  and the old in Bangladesh are different. Again it varies from place to place. Village people spent their leisure by flying kites, fishing, swimming, gossiping and by enjoying themselves in productive work such as gardening, farming etc. City people spent their leisure by playing , visiting different historical places, enjoying show and exhibitions, going out for a picnic, reading books, watching  TV and using computers. The common pastimes are gossiping reading newspapers and watching TV programmers. In late winter people enjoy various kinds of games like badminton, volley ball etc. Sometimes winter fair is observed in the village. I think travelling is an expensive kind of past time although it increase one's knowledge and gives one some enjoyment by refreshing one's mind through watching different places. Leisure is very important to get rid of the monotony of our life. And leisure makes our life enjoyable.

Tree Plantation "Short composition"

Trees play an important role in maintaining ecological balance. Trees produce oxygen which is essential for us to survive. If there were no trees, there would have been no oxygen resulting in lifeless world. Trees also take away carbon-dioxide. It gives shade and makes the environment cool. Trees are necessary for healthy living. They also save us from natural calamities.

The Unemployment in Bangladesh "Short composition"

Bangladesh is beset with many problems. The unemployment is one of the talked to them. The word ‘unemployment’ means a state in which a man is out of work. When an adult person has no work to bring money for the subsistence of himself and the members of his family he is treated to be unemployed.
Unemployment problem is acute in Bangladesh because of the lack of job opportunity. For about three decades political instability, traditional educational system, lack of vocational training and technical education, illiteracy, agro-based economy, industrial backwardness, closure of industries, economic stagnancy in investment sectors and large scale of corruption are responsible for unemployment problem. After liberation, no special care was given to the industrial sector. As a result, the employment opportunities are not created. Due to political unrest foreign investors feel repulsion to invest in Bangladesh. NGO programmes are insignificant. As a result, unemployment problem is mounting up day by day.

Natural Disaster in Bangladesh "Paragraph and Short composition"

The The life of people of Bangladesh has often been shaped by tragedy. Because, Bangladesh is a land of natural disaster. Floods, cyclones, tidal-bore, excessive rainfall, drought etc are present phenomena for us. In the recent years our country has experienced a great number of natural calamities. Among these cyclone is the most devastating. It usually occurs in summer and generally originates from the Bay-of-Bengal. Sometimes it is accompanied by thunders and heavy showers. It causes a great havoc. A lot of people and others animals die. Dwelling houses are blown away. The tidal bore and the heavy showers wash away the store of food stuff. And it also leaves the marks of terrible damage. Outbreak of various diseases such as cholera, dysentery, diarrhea, fever etc is follow soon after the disaster. We cannot prevent natural disasters. Since people have no control over nature. But what is more important is we can reduce the great loss to substantial extent by taking precautionary measures. Using modern technology’s help the weather forecast, a prior warning can be given to the people who are likely to be affected by the cyclone the inhabitants of the coastal regions of Bangladesh are the worst sufferers of natural disasters. So, these people and their domestic animals can be shifted to the cyclone shelters. The number of cyclone shelters should also be increased. Moreover, a quick relief, medical treatment and essential medicines should be made available the affected people just after a terrible natural adversity. Along with the government, we the people of upper class society should go among the affected men and help them as far as we can.

Load shedding "Paragraph and Short composition"

Load shedding is the suspension or discontinuation of electricity supply on certain lines when the demand is greater than the generation. It has become a widely discussed topic of the day. People live in the areas supplied with electricity are quite familiar with this term. There is hardly any area which is not affected by load shedding. Load shedding usually occurs when the supply of electricity is less than demand and also for unplanned distribution of electricity. It plunges the city or part of it into the darkness and seems we are living in a village. Load shedding causes unbearable torture on the people belonging to all walks of life especially during summer.  But the sufferings of the parents and the students beggar description. Students sit idling in the dark closing their books especially before their exam. Domestic life becomes painful. The housewives grope in the darkness in the kitchen. Mills and factories come to a standstill incurring huge amount of national loss. So failure of electricity hampers productivity. Besides, shops, markets and other establishments become seriously affected by it. So it is a curse for our development. In addition, due to load shedding foods kept in the refrigerator get rotten the commodities preserved in the cold storages get spoilt. It is very difficult to solve this problem. But we should make an all out concerted effort to solve this problem. We must take pragmatic steps to get rid of this problem. As already establish power plants fail to satisfy the increasing demand of electricity, government must take initiative to establish more power plants immediately. Establishing power plants in the private sector should also be higher encouraged. Unplanned distribution of electricity should be stopped at any cost and timely well planned supply of electricity should be ensured. Besides, system loss should be reduced. Illegal connection should be stopped. Those who are related to pilferage must be brought to book. Over all public awareness is necessary. Here our mass- media can play a vital role.
